OVERVIEW of the BUDDHIST PATH
Have you always been curious about Buddhism but haven't been sure where to start?
Or perhaps you have some understanding but would like to explore the path more deeply, so that you can apply it in your daily life?
This 1 day retreat will discuss Buddhist concepts and psychology in a simple and engaging way via video teachings with Venerable Robina Courtin, and facilitated in person discussions and mediations with Venerable Tenzin Drolkar.
WHERE: Maitri House Buddhist Centre, 286 Lennox St, Maryborough
WHEN: 10am - 4pm, Thursday 25 April (ANZAC Day public holiday)
COST: Recommended donation $25 (or any amount you're comfortable to pay) at the door. Vegetarian lunch and snacks included.
WHO: Venerable Robina Courtin is an Australian born Buddhist nun who has been ordained in the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism for over 40 years. Robina is a dynamic and engaging teacher, travelling the world teaching the Dharma to new and experienced students alike. This enlightening day of teachings was recorded at the Ocean of Compassion Buddhist Centre in 2019 and provides both broad and pithy instructions on how to integrate the Dharma into your daily life in a practical and meaningful way.

About Venerable Tenzin Drolkar
- Holistic Counsellor, Coach and Meditation Instructor
With postgraduate qualifications in Holistic Human Development (Holistic Counselling + Coach + Meditation Instruction + Autonomic Nervous System Realignment Therapy) Tenzin brings a diverse depth of knowledge and experience to her holistic counselling relationships, meditation instruction, discussion groups and support group facilitations.
Tenzin has also trained with Karuna Hospice in Brisbane, attending their ‘Spiritual Care with the Dying' program and retreats.
Tenzin is an Executive Member of the International Institute for Complementary Therapists, a member of the International Sangha Association, the International Mahayana Institute and the Australian Sangha Association.
